I'm a soft tissue specialist trained to assess, treat and rehabilitate muscles, tendons and ligaments; the tissues that are directly involved in moving the skeleton. For a more detailed understanding of how I may be able to help and the kinds of treatments that I offer my varied clients please have a quick look at my blog or give me a call.
Throughout my life I’ve had a keen interest in sport, science and health. My father is an avid sportsman and has enjoyed a 40-year career as a professional golfer and my mother has dedicated her entire working life to healthcare in one form or another.
I enjoy all sports but I'm passionate about scuba diving, pilates and walking and mountain biking on the South Downs.
Unfortunately I snapped my anterior cruciate ligament whilst skiing in 1996 however every cloud has a silver lining and it was this injury that sparked my interest in anatomy, sports injury and rehabilitation.
I studied at the University of the West of England and received a 2:1 in a Business and Science degree (BSC Hons).
More recently I trained at the London School of Sports Massage and was awarded an LSSM Diploma BTEC LEVEL 5 in 2010. Founded in 1989 LSSM was the first school to provide specialist training in Sport & Remedial Massage which has now evolved into Remedial Soft Tissue Therapy.
Experience & Associations
My experience ranges from treating sporting professionals to recreational sports men, women and children. I’ve supported marathon runners, triathletes and athletes taking part in endurance challenges. I’ve also worked at Worthing Rugby Club alongside a team of physiotherapists responsible for the players physical wellbeing and performance.
I’ve treated patients with aches and pains from driving long distances and doing too much gardening as well as those with injuries from car accidents and falls.
I'm a full member of the SMA, a not for profit Professional Association run by elected members furthering the profession of soft tissue therapy.
